One of the best ways a Facebook group can help make marketing a book easier is for authors to join a Facebook group for authors in the same genre that you’re writing, they can serve as a support system. Another great way a Facebook group can assist an author in book marketing, is to create a Facebook group and use it within their author street team. An additional way an author can use a Facebook group to benefit them is by creating a group about a specific book or series where readers can engage and discuss the book or series. There is one important tip when it comes to using a Facebook group to your benefit, that tip is to use moderators to your advantage. Joining a Facebook group for authors in your genre can be a great thing, not only does this open up the prospects for potential cross promotion on social media with other authors but it gives you a group of peers to bounce ideas off.
Another huge positive impact is the way other authors can serve as a phenomenal support system
This isn’t the only upside to using a Facebook group as a way to help market books though, another huge positive impact is the way other authors can serve as a phenomenal support system. The authors in the group may be willing to do cross promotion, newsletter swaps, or even co-host Facebook events with you along with giving you feedback on your books, site, marketing strategy and many other things.
A Facebook group can assist an author in book marketing by becoming an integral part of an author’s street team. Using a Facebook group as a big part of a street team can be a wonderful thing since it allows an author to reach a large number of people all at once. It is also helpful since it can help an author stay in contact with their street team often, without having to send out emails all the time. Not only does it allow an author to connect with their readers, but it allows an author to get information to them easily. Having a Facebook group full of readers allows an author to quickly and effectively inform their readers of special pricing, giveaways, and exclusives just for them! Using a Facebook group as an integral part of an author street team can also help an author by allowing them to engage with their readers.
Having a Facebook group specifically for a book or series can help an author create a community with their readers around their books
A Facebook group specifically to discuss a book or series can be greatly beneficial to an author. Doing this can help an author gain readers and reviewers while holding the interest of their current readers. In addition to gaining readers and reviewers, having a Facebook group specifically for a book or series can help an author create a community with their readers around their books. Creating a group like this can help create a sort of book club, around one specific book or series. As well as creating an online book club of sorts, using a Facebook group to discuss a single book or series of books can aid in culminating friendships between readers.
One big thing to think about when setting up your own Facebook group is who will help you moderate it. Having someone besides yourself who can help keep the group active and engaged can help not only to keep it active, but to help reduce your stress. Keeping the group active and interesting will ensure the group will keep growing, and keep all the members interacting with each other. Moderators can also answer any questions group members may have, and take care of potential issues if you do not have time. Just as important as having group moderators, is how many moderators your group has. It is crucial to make sure your group has more moderators as the group grows.
