Cystic Fibrosis and Transplantation
One Family's Story, With Illustrations
PROFITS TO BE DONATED TO CYSTIC FIBROSIS UK AND TRANSPLANTATION CHARITY, NEW HEART
Full colour. Of interest to everyone - not only those with Cystic Fibrosis or on the transplant waiting list. Penny Taylor was a young woman from Horwich, Lancashire, who as a result of her Cystic Fibrosis, received a heart and lung transplant. She'd been ill on and off since birth, but this operation gave her a new lease of life that was nevertheless (sadly) all too short.
This book is a beautiful reaction to Penny's wish that her poetry, artwork, and letters be published following her death. She was a talented writer and artist, and her work, combined with photos and a down-to-earth writing style, makes this book a treasure and a fitting tribute.
If you have a look at the Words Are Life website, or our YouTube channel, you'll be able to watch a video of Penny's parents, Judith and John, chatting about Penny and the book. Better late than never!
